October’s Release from the Archive
A show slightly dated by the Bush references, but the new regime that pilots America’s Imperial Juggernaut has barely altered course. It includes sections of a Noam Chomsky talk we’ve played before (sorry for the repetition), as well as Howard Zinn, Michael Parenti, Malcolm X and music by the likes of Billy Bragg, Utah Philips, Saul Williams, Masada, DJ Spooky, Fela Kuti and others.
Music:
Marching Song of the Covert Battalions – Billy Bragg
Pledge of Resistance – Saul Williams
World Turned Upside Down – Billy Bragg
VIP – Fela Kuti
to name a few…

I’m unsubscribing from your podcast today. It’s so much work trying to hear Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky from under the smooth jazz you amped up over their voices that I’ll just try to find their voices somewhere else. And when I want to hear smooth jazz I’ll tune to SmoothJazzRadio. Beats me why you thought I tuned into SeeingRedRadio to hear smooth jazz.
I’m sure you can easily find Chomsky, Zinn, Parenti, and Malcolm X speeches. One can only hope that this show inspired you to find them and listen to them in their entirety. The technique you find so objectionable is sometimes successful and at other times less so. If you’ve listened to any number of the podcasts, you’ll probably notice that it is not employed pervasively. This show was originally broadcast over a year ago, prior to the podcast, when we tended to use it more often.
I see you’re editing out my constructive reply to your comment, and not posting at all the rather tight-lipped and sarcastic comments you emailed to my private inbox.

That awesome picture of Carl Marx, could you please tell where did you get it?
Maybe a higher resolution available?
Thank you in advance,
Michael
