The One-State Solution and the Truth behind the Employee Free Choice Act 5/21/09
The Two-State Solution is a non-starter with the Zionist regime of Netanyahu. On this edition of SRR we examine the proposal for a secular one-state that represents all of the people of historic Palestine. We also expose the heinous lies of pro-corporate opponents of the Employee Free Choice Act, including the glaring statistic that reveals the number of unfair labor practice filings with the National Labor Review Board against unions amounts to “only 42 cases of misconduct over seven decades—while there are nearly 30,000 unfair labor practices against workers by companies every year.” So much for “union intimidation”… We also commemorate the horrific end of the first acquisition of state power by the working class, the Paris Commune, when it was violently suppressed in 1871.

Thanks for the blog visit and link. I just got started with this blog in April, which is probably why you didn’t know about me sooner. I just found about your excellent radio show pod cast while I was perusing the forums at David Harvey’s Reading Capital. Coincidentally, for the past two weeks or so I have been in the process of writing a review of your show. I will let you know when I post it.
Also, have you seen the documentary “FTA” (Fuck/Free the Army) about Fonda, Sutherland and other entertainers anti-war GI show? If not, you should check it out, that Youtube video of a Rita Martinson singing Soldier we Love You that I posted for memorial day is from the film/show (also shown in Yes Sir-No Sir). Anyway, my point in all this is to recommend that you also see if you can dig up some music by an artist named Les Chandler, who is also in FTA. Chandler sings a great song called My Ass is Mine, which is a play on the army officer’s phrase “your ass is mine”. That music would go great in your show, and the My Ass is Mine can play double meaning for worker’s resistance as well.
Anyway, thanks again for the blog visit, kind words and link, and especially for your inspiring and entertaining radio show. Keep on keepin on brother!
Correction, Len Chandler not “Les”. Here is an excellent video of him singing with Pete Seeger.
Of course maybe you had already heard about him, but in case not, now you have.
